Beckfoot Trust and Schools

Creating a network of websites for ten schools and the trust.

Approach

We began by developing a prototype site for one school within the trust, using it as a pilot to refine the structure, design style, and user experience before rolling out the full network of websites.

The multi-site solution was built on WordPress Multisite, enabling centralised management and simplified maintenance across all school sites.

To ensure a smooth transition, we launched the new websites in phases. This approach minimised any risk to the legacy platform and gave content editors the opportunity to review and refresh their content on the new system.

The secret to success

From the outset, we focused on minimising risk and setting a realistic schedule. A healthy sense of optimism made the project a pleasure rather than a battle, while close collaboration with the Trust’s IT team ensured a seamless rollout. Working hand in hand with the Trust’s content and communications team gave them the time and space to gather and refine materials, while our continual creative process allowed fresh ideas and innovations to be woven in at every stage. This balanced, flexible approach kept the project on budget without compromising on quality or results.

Beckfoot Trust

The Computer Bureau supported our Trust to build a series of 11 sites that shared the branding of our organisation but allowing our schools to show their own individual identity. He always goes the extra mile to understand our requirements and provide the right solutions. This has been such a fruitful partnership, we are now working on another project to provide a platform for professional growth management.
